Who we arePenguin Radio is Dominican University of California’s official radio station, broadcasting in San Rafael at 102.3FM and internationally on radio.dominican.edu. We exist to serve the Dominican University community with quality student radio shows, live sports broadcasting, music playlists and public affairs programming.
Penguin radio is brought to you by the communications and media studies department of Dominican University of California, under the direction of faculty adviser, Stuart Horne. Starting in January 2000, Penguin Radio has been on air 24/7 and is now a required piece of curriculum for all communication and media study students. Penguin Radio staff is made up of Dominican University of California students and alumni, which is ever changing, creating a collective voice for the university. History Of Penguin RadioPenguin Radio at radio.dominican.edu, the official radio station of Dominican University of California, came to life in the year 2000 with the voices of John Baker and Stuart Horne. With just a couple of microphones and a computer these two enterprising undergrads turned up the volume to deliver Dominican Athletics, streaming music, and creative student shows to a worldwide audience over the internet...and it gets better and better every year...keep tuning in!
